Villa is the team for me to finish top 4 this season. its not even a doubt for me. if they continue to play well, they might be title contenders.
3 horse race is back and chelsea is far from pulling away. if united wins hull, the gap is just down to 2 points and arsenal still have a game in hand over both teams. Arsenal is now second although not for long, when united play hull and win. its not a 2 horse race anymore.

The problem with Villa is they have speed in attacking but they got no speed in defending. To take on Arsenal head on, a side have to be quick in defense and also physical... Villa is a good attacking side but they are not a physical one in midfield.
Villa couldn't control or completely lost the midfield thats why they were overran today. To be fair, they were doing quite ok until the free-kick... Once that one went in, Villa lost all hope...

Arsenal goal hero Fabregas revealed as injured again
Cesc Fabregas inspired Arsenal to a 3-0 over Aston Villa after coming on as a substitute in the second half but boss Arsene Wenger confirmed the Spaniard had a recurrence of his hamstring injury.
The Frenchman told Sky Sports: "It's a recurrence of his hamstring. We knew before the game it was not perfect.
"We will see if we have long regrets or short regrets. I don't believe it's too bad, he doesn't think it's too bad."
Wenger is hoping the injury is not too serious, with a scar on the injured tissue the best prognosis rather than a new pull to the hamstring.
He said: "If it's a pull again it's three weeks (out) so we hope it is only a scar."
Wenger admitted he could not say whether the Gunners would have won without Fabregas.
"That's very difficult to predict. I believe we were dominant. I believe in the last 20 minutes we could have made the difference (to win the game)."
Wenger revealed he was considering signing a striker in the January transfer window because of Robin van Persie's ankle injury.
He said: "We are in the market with our eyes open. We are a bit short as we planned to play with Robin the whole season."

no build up play in their old style football. all they did was kicked the ball up to their tall players and hope for the best.
