  Andrey Arshavin has had to adapt to the British way of life since arriving at Arsenal from Zenit St Petersburg back in February.

  The Russian is used to celebrating the annual festivities on January 7 - when it falls in the Julian calendar - but Christmas came early as the diminutive playmaker took his family to the Winter Wonderland in London's Hyde Park.

  It is Arshavin's first Christmas in the capital but the 28-year-old showed no signs of being homesick with wife Yulia and children Artem and Yana.

  He said: 'It was snowing a few days ago. But there is no such freezing cold here as at home (in St Petersburg). The city centre has been beautifully decorated for a long time: garlands, lights, Christmas trees and snow do not allow us to forget about the upcoming New Year.'
