Real Madrid have offered defender Ezequiel Garay to Manchester United, according to reports in the English media.
The
Argentine stopper has allegedly fallen out of favour with coach Manuel
Pellegrini, with the Chilean looking to offload the former Racing
Santander man in the summer.
The English champions are currently suffering an injury crisis at the back, and publication The Daily Mirror comments that they could be ready to negotiate with the Spanish side
regarding a possible loan move until the end of the season.
Garay,
who netted the winning goal in the 3-2 victory over Valencia at the
Mestalla on Saturday evening, was regarded as the future at Los Blancos
but has failed to impress his new coach and is ready to seek a move
away from the Bernabeu.
The 23-year old is available in January
and with Rio Ferdinand struggling for fitness Sir Alex Ferguson could
see Garay as a stop-gap solution to allow him to strengthen his side in
the summer.
Garay signed with Real Madrid in 2008 but moved on
loan to Racing for a further season, returning to the capital club in
the summer.
