  Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti is planning a summer raid on Liverpool for Steven Gerrard.

  The Sunday Mirror says Ancelotti has told pals the Blues will table a £30million bid for the England midfielder at the end of the season and test Liverpool’s resolve to hang on to their captain, who is becoming disillusioned with the lack of success at his home-town club.

  Chelsea have failed twice to get Gerrard, 29, who vowed to stay for life when he signed a new £25million four-year deal this summer.

  Another obstacle for the Blues is the Gael Kakuta row. Chelsea have appealed against a two-transfer-window ban imposed after being found guilty of enticing the youngster to break his contract with Lens.

  cannot get kaka now trying to get gerrard lol. I still think he wont be leaving liverpool. chelsea should try to get Pato, Villa or benzema, since RM want to sell him.

  im backing stevie to leave, he did well for us, he gave his best and i really like him as a player, if not the best, he's surely one of the better midfielders around.

  he deserve the epl title more than liverpool do.

  With no money, no good players and chicken manager, there is no way Liverpool can go top 4 this season.

  Villa and Spurs are going STRONG.

  All call for the squad to show character is useless as the squad is not good enough.

  It is funny that your opponent manager ended up consoling Ah Ben that they can be better after beating them.

  chelsea does not need gerrard.. they already have ballack, deco and lampard playing as the playmaker role.. where else do you want gerrard to play?

  depends, if GKs, can stretch to 40, MF, maybe 35, strikers, 30 is a bit stretch.
