Bayern Munich's goalkeeper Hans-Joerg Butt celebrates with team-mates after scoring his penalty
Juventus crashed out of the Champions League with a miserable performance in front of their own fans as they capitulated to a rampant Bayern Munich.
Bayern goalkeeper Hans-Jorg Butt had little to do at his own end, but he levelled from the penalty spot on the half-hour mark after David Trezeguaet had given Juve the lead against the run of play in Turin.
Ivica Olic then put Bayern ahead in the 51st minute, before Mario Gomez and substitute Anatoliy Tymoschuk gave the scoreline a one-sided look which did not flatter the visitors.
The win saw Bayern claim second place in Group A behind Bordeaux and a place in the last 16, while Juve, who were undefeated in 16 home European games before this evening, dropped into the Europa League.
The result will surely lead to new questions about the future of Juve coach Ciro Ferrara, who was under pressure before the weekend win against Inter.
Haha, been awhile since I saw a GK score!
well, means that liverpool is going to be out of the europa league soon

You'll never know, the ball is round, it seems to be even rounder for Pool IMO.
for liverpool, nothing to do with the ball, it's them who cant get it rolling towards their favour.

I thought Bayern surely no chance to progress. Juventus has itself to blame for not qualifying.

I hope you don't mean the ref *pun intended*
Golly, Standard Liege's GK scored too! But it was from a 90 min header. 2 GKs scored in a match day, wow!
Surprise Juve out... But at least Inter is in...

Maybe he was watching the last EPL game week and saw so many PK misses and wanna teach those PK takers a lesson haha
It s all the stupid Ferrara fault la. First half still steady at 1-1. Then he substitute the stupid Poulsen to become 1-4 for final score. Where got people so fast shore up defense in just half time???
No experience, right?

if i am not wrong,
butt is the oldest among the team, after ze roberto left.
he is a professional penalty taker, according to the commentator in that game.
miroslav klose used to take most penalty for bayern, but since he wasnt playing.
did you see how butt take the penalty? i think since he is a goalkeeper himself, he knows how a goalkeeper think. he made buffon look like a fool in that PK.
cheers.
