Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti insists that his side have so far fared better than fellow Premier League contenders Manchester United.
Despite
the recent losses to Blackburn Rovers and Manchester City, the Italian
feels that the Londoners' situation is superior to that of their
northern counterparts.
"Until now, we have done better than Manchester United," Ancelotti is quoted in The Sun as saying.
"We have two more points at the top and Chelsea won the game against them."
However, the former Milan manager kept his feet rooted to the ground, as he claimed that the future remains uncertain.
He added: "United are a fantastic team.
"We
have to race with them until the end of the season but I don't know
what will happen in the future. Until now, we've done better than them."
see who finish the finish line in May lar. whoever finish top now also no use what. 2 points ahead is a miniscule gap.
Well, can't disagree with him as the table does suggest it... But had the referee not presented him a win over United last month, then I guess he wouldn't be able to say that at this point...
I understand his comments came after the defeat to City... Perhaps its a way of his to calm his players down and not get panic after a defeat and seeing a commanding lead being cut...
But I guess its a smart move...
