TOP JINX ... Frank Lampard
SunSport can reveal the reason Carlo Ancelotti's men have stumbled on their title charge is because their away strip is under a navy-blue hoodoo.
Chelsea got their campaign off to a flying start when they beat Manchester United on penalties in the Community Shield, then cruised to eight consecutive Premier League wins - all in their traditional royal-blue kit.
But they came unstuck when they played in their navy and yellow second strip for the first time, crashing 3-1 at Wigan.
Blues wore the same outfit for the 2-1 defeat at Aston Villa and again as they slipped to a Carling Cup penalty-shootout defeat at Ewood Park after drawing 3-3 with Blackburn at the end of extra-time.
On Saturday, Chelsea again donned the jinxed colours and slumped to a 2-1 defeat against Manchester City at Eastlands.
The only four times they have worn the new navy strip, they have ended up on the losing side.
Chelsea will be back in their home kit tonight as they host APOEL Nicosia in their final Champions League group game.
Yet, with the Blues assured of top spot in Group D, Ancelotti is set to ring the changes.
I find Chelsea's navy-blue jersey better looking than United's grey one... lol
No leh.... I think its B.S
Chelsea wore that away jersey to bean Milian during Friendlies...
