Golden globes: It has been an award-winning week for Argentines, with Lionel Messi (left) claiming the Ballon d'Or and Luciana Salazar getting her own prize
Lionel Messi may be the Ballon d'Or winner, but the Argentina wizard couldn't even dream of winning the Balon Rosa de Oro.
But the alternative award - handed out to the Queen of the football WAGs - was at least won by Messi's compatriot: glamour model and actress Luciana Salazar.
Salazar, the former girlfriend of Chile legend Marcelo Salas, beat Peter Crouch's fiancee Abbey Clancy into second place in the poll run by Catalan newspaper Sport.
Cristiano Ronaldo's fiery ex Nereida Gallardo finishied third. Those wrongly linked to footballers also made the poll with models Nikoleta Lozanova and Mariann Fogarasy, falsly associated with Dimitar Berbatov and David Beckham respectively, way down the voting.
Clio Zenden, wife of Sunderland midfielder Bolo, and Rio Ferdinand's friend Francoise Boufhal were also in contention, while Chelsea 'fan' Charlize Theron also made a bizarre appearance.
Illary Blasi (wife of Roma and Italy star Francesco Totti), Alessia Ventura (fiance of AC Milan's Filippo Inzaghi) and Ariadne Artiles (friend of Real Madrid keeper Casillas) made up the 10 contenders.
