Onli till next season?
So you be paying 2 bills. One starhub the one Singtel
If you dont want to subscrible mio nw. You can still catch the starhub EPL till end season. And can subscribe to Mio next season with include champs league and so on. The only thing is maybe they will up the prices?
You are correct that you can't watch the EPL on mio currently... What you can watch is this season's Champions League from now till the end of May or Jun for free.
So you won't be paying 2 bills if you do not wish to. You can continue to pay your current Starhub's till end of May when the EPL season ends and only start paying the Singtel's mio from Aug 2010.

singtel rejected it. then why you think they bid so much money to get the epl rights for?
get the epl right to share with starhub meh?no right? purpose is to compete and capture as much market share with starhub. a lot of starhub customers may cancel starhub sub to sub to miotv when the EPL season kicks off in August next year.
I signed up for the $25 deal but I must say I am very disappointed with the general video quality of Mio TV so far. The video quality is clearly not nearly as good as starhub,
they appear pixelated and posterized. I fear for the quality of the
broadcast of EPL having enjoyed them in HD for so long.
I have both starhub cable and Mio TV now. So when HD5 was broadcasting "National Treasure" I toggled between Mio and Starhub's broadcast, the difference was significant. Mio's HD
broadcast looked more like standard definition. The details can't be
seen in the darker areas.
I'm only signing up so that I can watch EPL. I will NEVER consider any
of their other channels because of the crappy quality. It's like
watching VCD.
Yeah, I also thought it was my line that was a little faulty at first... Called them and they tell me to reload the software, reload the software... Did it 2 x already and still got the same problem. The worst thing was I even lost some of the free channels that was suppose to be able to view for 30 days...
just went to see what mio channels are like..
damned lousy leh...
apart from football, they have nothing else to offer
Singtel's service is quite lousy...registered to early bird BPL last month...being told to wait for their technician last tue, 24th nov from 6 - 9pm but didn't turn up, not even a phone call. Wrote to them to forget about it liao...since there are so many negative comment on the picture quality. Gotta watch online instead from next year...
It isn't really that bad lah... But if you are expecting Starhub's quality, then there is a slight difference lor... Otherwise, its still ok.
miotv, besides the football channel 61-63, got feng huang or azio channel 72, which was formerly on starhub ch 49. miotv movies channel 50 also not bad, got dual language in chinese and cantonese. they also got a few taiwanese channels and if you are an indian, there are a few hindi channels too.
