  Arsenal ponder £17M bid for Villa striker Agbonlahor

  Arsenal are considering a £17 million move for Aston Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor.

  The Daily Star says Arsene Wenger has kept a watchful eye on the Aston Villa star ever since he burst on to the scene in 2006.

  The Gunners boss was tipped to move for Agbonlahor in the summer of 2007 but the Frenchman plumped for Croatia international Eduardo instead.

  But Wenger’s head has been turned yet again by Agbonlahor, who has scored seven goals so far this season but only twice in his last nine games.

  And the Arsenal chief remains worried by the hitman’s tendency to blow hot and cold.

  Agbonlahor seems inconsistent sometimes.... the only thing he is good is his pace and fast acceleration....

  Actually he got the physical oso. i tink he will be a good addition to club but then i think we got too many strikers. although i love him to be in arsenal.

  I have my doubts on him, but I am sure wenger will be able to tap into his potential and make him a better player. at 17m its quite a risk, but he is english, so english players are more expensive than others.
