Tottenham are being linked with a £6 million deal for Sunderland defender Anton Ferdinand.
The Sun says Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is set to launch a £6million January bid to rescue Ferdinand from his Sunderland hell.
Black Cats chief Steve Bruce made it clear the ex-England Under-21 ace is not part of his plans.
Former West Ham star Ferdinand, 24, who also interests Fulham, is keen for a return to London.
Redknapp came close to landing him in August but a swap deal for Alan Hutton fell through.
