Liverpool today placed Fernando Torres on sale. The 25 year old Spanish striker has been dogged with injuries that have been plaguing him since the draw to Lyon. Fed up with the striker's niggling groin injury, Rafael Benitez, manager of Liverpool, entered a series of high level talks with arch-rivals Manchester United in a deal rumored to be in the region of 18 million pounds to secure the striker's immediate services.However the deal broke off after failing to negotiate a price on the striker.
Torres's future remains grey as the club struggles to refinance its mounting debts and the imminent sale of Torres's seems a enticing overture to cash in.
In an unrelated incident,Rafael Benitez, manager of Liverpool, resigned from his posts, citing personal reasons for his departure. Liverpool are understood to have an interim manager appointed in the coming weeks
PS: all these are fake. i saw Liverpool selling Torres on the transfer market on Fifa 09( i was manager of Man Utd) and was laughing at the condicience of the news that Rafael Benitez would resign if the club sold Torres
