  Tottenham plan £6M offer for unhappy Man Utd keeper Foster

  Tottenham are planning to move for unhappy Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Foster.

  The Sun says Spurs are lining up a £6million New Year bid for England keeper Foster.

  Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is in the market for a new keeper after Carlo Cudicini was seriously injured in a bike accident last week.

  Foster fears he will not be in England's World Cup squad next year unless he is playing regular first-team football in the Premier League.

  Foster, 26, was picked to start Saturday's 1-0 defeat by Brazil. But he admitted: "It's very disheartening not even being on the bench at United.

  "I'm third choice for United yet playing for my country. It's a weird one and I'll see what happens."

  Foster is reluctant to give up on his United dream.

  However, after four years on the Old Trafford books, he fears he will never be Alex Ferguson's first choice.

  TBH, I don't think Foster will make it to #1 for ManUtd....

  Secondly, even at Spurs, what are the chances that Foster will do even better than Gomes? Even Cudicini has to be back up for Gomes.

  Not bad leh... Bought him for $1m then, now can sell for $6m despite all the mistakes he has made... Maybe should try their luck a bit and ask for $8m... lol.

  I said many times and I will say it again.

  Foster will be good at teams like watford, blackburn or bolton but not at united. he will struggle at united or big 4 teams. maybe wenger can give him a chance and bring him to arsenal.

  imo, not a bad deal for utd.

  although utd dont really need the cash like liverpool do.

  or loaning him out will also be a good idea.

  cash in on ben, then go for Akinfeev

  I hope fergie goes for buffon, best goalie in the world right now. even if he costs 30m get him. he will guarantee top goalie for the next 7-8 years every season.

  no doubts, buffon real good. but i dont think fergie will want to spend so much on a gk.

  he had been caution with spending big in recent seasons.

  if buffon cost around 30-35m, im sure he'll worth every single penny

  Reina? nah man u wont buy and he wont join. besides reina is not exactly a top top goalie, but he is very good in saving pk. I would rate reina top above average goalie, but not in the same class as VDS, buffon or casillas or even cech.
