SCV Vs Mio TV

I justed subscribed to MioTV yesterday, had a peek with their channels. To on MioTV, you need to on the modem even if you are not surfing websites or online, just to merely watch the cable TV. MioTV, compared to SCV, took a long time to connect sia. the content of Mio TV, doesnt look good compared to SCV. SCV had animal planet, discovery, national geo etc.
I sub to Mio TV to beat their deadline of signing up without the installation charges and also to watch serie a and CL matches.

I think 18.95 ba for 1 year. bo bian leh, renew broadband and then tell me if I want to sign up for Mio TV. if sign up, free installation charges. Mio TV content looks average as compared to SCV. a lot of interesting programmes to watch.

recently subscribed to their chinese channels package. free installation and half a year free and 1 month free of certain channels. will be subscribing to epl for next year.
overall i think scv has better range of channels and also miotv lags sometimes and takes ages to start up.

yes it lags and stalled sometimes. so how much are you paying a mth? you didnt sub to ch 61-63, the football channel meh?

sucks lar. 2 set top boxes. then have to get the dunno what adaptor, if not have to transfer the 3 coloured wiring each time I want to watch SCV or MioTV, so ma fan.
whats the adaptor called and how much? the technician told me to get it from sim lim square, cheaper there.

because starhub is now trying to talk to singtel to 'cooperate' about the rights, starhub's idea is something like a trade, starhub lend singtel the rights to hbo, star max etc. singtel in return will lend starhub the soccer rights, ppl say wont happen lar, i also think so. but who really knows right

scv and singtel quarrelled for 2 days early this week in the newspaper. how to cooperate liao leh now lol

I subscribed also... Cos since now don't have to pay for the modem, set top box and installation... I took lor. I thought it over and since the price is the same as Starhub's for the next season, I think its still ok lah as I get to watch this season's CL for free...
The price i will have to pay is $26 something with gst same as what I am paying Starhub anyway and I only start paying them from next Aug 2010 onwards but must sign one year contract lah... but if they increase after 2010/11 season, i will have to reconsider whether to continue or not...

but mio tv contents not as good as SCV. thats understandable as SCV has been in the market for the last 10 years and singtel is just a newbie.

Your Tv only got 1 AV in ah? If that is the case, then you need to buy the splitter lor... And yeah, Sim Lim Sq is cheaper... A 1 to 3 will cost about $6 only but if you buy from other places, the same thing could cost you around $10...Here is a pic of one type of AV splitter you can consider lor...

so where to buy this? challenger got or not? lazy to go down to sim lim square leh. thought the technician told me its the what adaptor. so its called splitter eh?

Other places more ex lor... And sorry its not SL sq, its SL tower... Basement. Its called AV splitter, not just splitter... Splitter got a lot types... Maybe SL sq 5th, 6th floor may have one shop selling as well... but this one not confirm one, sometimes have, sometimes don't have kind... -

but you said must sign one year contract with singtel right? must that contract be signed now or when the new season starts?
