Manchester City fans have appproached the FA about Manchester United defender Jonny Evans' controversial challenge on Chelsea striker Didier Drogba in Sunday's big game.
The Telegraph says fans often send the FA switchboard into meltdown on Mondays, trying to land their rivals in trouble, but this is different.
Monday's complaint forms part of an orchestrated campaign called FA Watch launched in the wake of the FA punishing Emmanuel Adebayor for his stamp on Robin van Persie.
Organisers have set up a website, are monitoring all matches and inviting fans from other clubs to join them, although Stretford Enders will probably not rush to sign up.
In their missive to the FA, City fans spell out their desire for “the Laws of the game to be applied in an even-handed and consistent manner and to see whether you intend to intervene in other cases of violent conduct that may not have been seen by officials’’.
The referee at the Bridge, Martin Atkinson, believed Evans had been fouled by Drogba and awarded United a free-kick.
“Given that the referee booked Drogba it is quite possible he did not see the full extent of the incident,’’ added Mark Tipton, the founder of FA Watch and self-proclaimed Manchester City supporter. “Had he seen the incident, one would normally expect a red card to have been issued by Mr Atkinson.
“As it would seem he did not clearly see the incident from the angle he was coming from, one would normally expect the FA to follow the matter up.’’
