Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger says he's rescued the Premiership's global popularity by signing Andrey Arshavin.
After Manchester United sold Cristiano Ronaldo to Real Madrid and Liverpool lost Xabi Alonso also to the Spanish giants, Wenger says: “The Premier League needs a star like Arshavin now that Cristiano Ronaldo has gone.
“Arshavin stands for all that we love in football.
“He is not only a great player but he has an honest, refreshing attitude. When there’s no penalty, he never complains. He’s not a drama queen. He’s fantastic for the Premier League.
"Four or five years ago, the likes of Messi or Kaka would have come to England [rather than Spain] so it is important we have great players like Arshavin.’’
arshavin is good but professor compare him to ronaldo? errr.........
why not? lol
yea arshavin will shine..
yeah... saw that goal yesterday??
he was marked by 2 defenders and he still manages to score..
he has the talent, but not the time left... if he is still 21 years old and under wenger... he would definitely turn out to be a fine young man.
Hmmm... Arshavin is a good player, but not that good to even come close to Ronny's level though...
his dribbling is one of the best in bpl. he is accurate, got the speed and the vision.
four goal againist liverpool can tell you how good arshavin is. And he onli join last season not even finish a season but the impact he made is a lot. when he get use to the bpl he will be the best player in bpl can be greater than ronaldo. Ronaldo first season oso not as good as arshavin. so time will prove himself
His dribbling may be good but it still pales is comparison to Ronny's... And like one post rightly said, how old is Arshavin? Before the next WC he would be 29 already so in 2 years time he will lose his speed... In other words, he has peaked... He would be lucky if he can keep the same form for the next 3 yrs...
i think stamina will drop but not spd as it will drop little and not much. see players like henry ,anelka these player still running like as if they are 20+. ronney might be talented but he still lack of creating something out of nowhere he need good support while arshavin can produce magic like any other great player does.
he good
but
can be better

the way u say arshavin is a bit too much not even close? u sure? when man u and arsenal play at old trafford u can see the different between the two 1 who need to get down for a penalty while another score a wonderful goal and a penalty that is so obvious which will not happen in old trafford againist man u. i tink u need to think again dude. i am not here to start an arguement but the way u comment is just insulting.
