It's been 30 years since Burnley defeated Sunday's opponents Blackburn Rovers.
They overcame the odds to book a Premier League place by edging Sheffield United in the play-off final in May.
But striker Blake, 33, insists ending their 30-year jinx would be even better.
He said: "It would top winning the play-off final wouldn't it? We haven't got any away points so there'd be no better place to start than Ewood."
Blake reckons fans up and down the country don't realise what a big match this is.
He said: "When you've got the Merseyside, Manchester, London and North East derbies, ours can be overshadowed. But you'll find at Ewood Park it will be a great atmosphere and a great game to be involved in.
"This is one of those ones that goes under the radar but it's going to be high pressure."
