Hi ,
I am 35 now, I have minor criminal record. 2 years back I was convicted for shoplifting and paid 1500$ fine.
Now I am applying for CNCC (Police clearance) certificate for immigration purpose.
Can anyone clarify my below queries on CNCC?
Will my minor criminal record appear in CNCC(Police clearance) certificate?
Has anyone obtained CNCC with criminal record? Will they mention the crime type(Shoplifting)? Or they just say I have a criminal record?
Thanks
The Certificate basically highlight all your activities "if" it appear. Just because you paid your fine doesn't means its clear from record. Because it was "convicted "....
Just sharing once you got criminal record in police data. It will stay there until the day you gone.
Sad to hear that but it's the truth. So if you happen to commit other crime your term will also be heavy. That's how singapore system works.
not too sure will it appear over CNCC report. ( Nevertheless if you received do share with us ).
i'll let you know in 3 weeks, i just submitted mine...i don't have any record though.
Thank you. I will wait for your response.
So how? Would it be possible for you to migrate to Australia despite having a record or conviction? i'm curious.
i don't think this is a black n white issue.
what do u mean? explain please.

TS raise a general question on what is the Austrialian Govt position on accepting immigrant with "record"
What would any govt response to that question?
Good luck
what is TS? and what do you mean by what the govt would respond to that question?
I thought they have a provision for those with minor offences and still will grant PR status?
I got my CNCC about 5 years ago before I arrive in UK. As I do not have any crminal records, nothing was shown on it. I have a feeling that if it is a conviction, it will show on the CNCC but am not sure whether it will specify what conviction it is. I would imagine that it should show as employers/immigration of other countries will want to see the 'seriousness' of the conviction. I have seen some pre-conviction reports here in UK due to the work I do and well, obviously, 'shoplifting' is very different from 'assault'!
true but no govt will state their position on this matters. because it is bad public policy to allow individual with criminal record enter into their country.
They will take it case by case. Also, it depend on the record if it is 5 yrs vs 2 yrs.....or 10 yrs.
