Anyone know why the EWL PYL Int announcement does not play "passengers who are continuing their journey on the Circle Line......." don't tell me they wait until CCL1 and 2 open 17 Apr 2010..

Obviously, I do know that is not drawn to scale. I think I have somewhat confused on the Possiblity 1 & 2 as on how to connect the lines.
PS: I am trying to say that, I personally, do not think that the either / or layout by NickLim is correct as it seriously will need a major change to the tracks, which I think the either or layout, will have the 3rd possiblity, which is neither, and they crossover at somewhere further on the right instead.

For continuous circle, trains will still use the current platform A & B because the unopened platforms have no link to Nicoll Highway station.Which means a great probability for trains to/fro BayFront & Esplanande to share the current platforms A & B.
It is up to LTA to plan something out for the unopened platforms.
Able to picture the scenario at Tanah Merah when Changi Airport line ran to/fro Boon Lay? Probably that's the case.
Oh thats quite a revelation... I didnt realise that. Erm would u know the station layout of Bayfront then? Stacked just like Promenade?
Some insight here... Lets say the continuous circle is a no go... Is it possible that both unopened platforms at PMD would travel in the SAME direction? just like the current and future NSL platforms at Jurong East? Having 2 platforms gg same direction just to ease traffic flow?
I have a new theory: CCL trains can only travel as 1 line, in 2 directions just like NSL. trains start from DBG, go down to promenade and then nicoll highway as per normal to cover the circle, basically in order from stages 1 to 5. Assuming the full circle, trains continue from HBF to MRB to Bayfront and ultimately terminate at Promenade (unopened platforms).
The second direction is exactly opposite, starting from both unopened platforms assuming my same direction idea holds true, now going clockwise to eventually end at DBG.
Food for thought. =) I think this is quite a cool idea though haha! Wonder if it works...

Reply in bold. this scenario is also possible
If this happens, it will be like London's underground circle line
they call it as lasso line
just want to ask here
will buona vista CCL station have 3 platforms like paya lebar ?
since got demand from marymount-paya lebar (a commuter transfer from NSL to CCL & vice versa via CCL), i'm sure there will be demand from lets say buona vista-Bishan ? (a commuter transfer from EWL to CCL & vice versa via CCL)

London Underground Circle Line is no longer a lasso line. See this pic:
Trains now run like this:
(Intermediate stations are omitted)
Paddington > Bayswater > Edgware Road > Paddington > Royal Oak > Hammersmith
and back.

No. The only 3 platform underground station is Paya Lebar and possibly, Bedok Resevoir (DTL Stage 3, DT 27) -- this is given by a leaked provisional schematic diagram.
My CCLD pics are here: http://bit.ly/CCLDS1and2Pics

The official TfL (Transport for London, equivalent of the LTA here) name is "Corporate Yellow".
FYI, the Brown line there is the Bakerloo Line, Purple/Magenta for Metropolitan, Red for Central, Green for District (solid green) or TramLink (double green lines), and Grey for Jubilee.
These colours are similar to those also used here. For the complete listing see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tube_map#Line_colours.

If I'm not wrong, Paya Lebar's middle track should be used only for temporary overnight stabling, as can be seen the sign there saying:

O, I see.
Actually, I have went into PYL CCL for 3 times. 1 time got no train, and a constructor worker supervisor asked me to get out since I was coming without proper equiment (He even asked am I from ST -- probably asking if I am from media, which I dunno if it is a sacarstic remark or not). The other time is the time I managed to board CCL until Nicoll Highway. The third time is CCLD, which is the "only legal" time. :P
I cannot remember, either the first or the second one, (I think is the first time one), had actually parked a train there. Never check the number though! (But the internal lights were off and both sides of the doors were closed.)

still remember when i was in UK in 2005... was on a circle line train at Gloucester Rd I think. And it spoilt. Caused a massive delay in the entire loop,

But based on my observation, i think that when ccl extension open, the dhoby ghaut to promenade route is just a shuttle. If u have noticed it, when the train departs for dbg, there is a track leading straight to a wall.
Let's hope the train automation doesnt go wrong and crash into that wall when Im inside. LOL
Did anyone notice that the Stage 1 and 2 psd sticker is paste from the outside not from the inside.
