it's a bucket list thing.. probably No.1 on the bucket list!
No, sir. That location didn't even cross my radar.
By the way, it's 7:40 a.m. JST now, and I'm in the departure lounge of Osaka's Itami Airport waiting for my flight to Narita, which leaves at 8 a.m.

What's the occasion????
Made it to Narita in one piece; the flight from Osaka pushed back exactly on time and arrived about 5 minutes early. That's Japanese efficiency for you.
My flight to Chicago boards at 10:30 a.m. (about a half hour from now). Not really looking forward to a 10+ hour flight, but at least it's on JAL and not some fetid American airline with dour-faced flight attendants who treat their passengers like so much cattle.

10+ hours isnt as daunting as 20+...that's what i'll be setting myself up for next year when i head to houston
Best airline I've ever flown on would be Emirates.
For the most part they are cheaper than SQ and provide much better service.

Yeah, flying from Singapore to the US has always been a challenge due to the additional flight time from there to Hong Kong/Taipei/Tokyo and then the subsequent trans-Pacific leg. I never enjoyed making those trips when I was going back to Singapore on a regular basis; the sheer exhaustion from the length of the journey, plus having to deal with the jet lag, more often than not had me sick the first few days after arriving.
What's your reason for going to Houston, if I might ask?

True. Word on the street is that SQ is no longer the class act it once was. Shame.
Okay, time to start milling about the gate. Hope you guys have a fabulous day, and I'll report back once I get stateside.
Last day of the week for me too.

my bro relocated to houston in july and the "fastest" and "least stopovers" seem to be SIA. just one layover in Moscow - almost a direct flight.

It was alright, my seat on the flight to Dubai had very stiff cushions and the food is so-so. I rate SIA's in-flight meals highly. Next trip will probably involve Finnair but I'd like to fly Qatar one day.
i remember on my flight from KL to Bali (and return) they had a lot of Korean air crew
edit: i mean on qatar
i wonder if they ship it here?
i want one!
instead of swatting flies, why not shoot them with a pinch of salt?

But then wouldn't you just end up with salt all over your house?
And how are you going to aim at the fly using that?

point and shoot.. more useful outside the house or when you have a partner who is afraid of roaches... you can use it to shoot and stun the roach and then blast it to death, clean up later
whatever the situation, it's more fun than anything else..
and there's also a little sighting thingy which pops up when you cock the thing...
Meh..... I'd rather take a broom/rolled-up newspaper/Tom Clancy's Op-Center and apply Newton's Second Law on the roach.
Low-tech, but supremely satisfying.

i do that.. but the smear is kinda gross..
if this thing works as well as the video, there's just minor cleaning, a whole unsmashed fly which i can maybe feed to the fish (if i had a fishtank)
and lots of fun!
Its the weekend!!!
and i'm leaving the office in 15! yay!
