Aside from the Middle East issues, very little new info was revealed tonight, as was the case at the first and VP debates. They're still leveling the same charges at each other regarding the car industry bailout, the "apology tour", 5 trillion dollars and defence spending.
I find it intriguing as this should be the culmination of the nationalistic, far right movement that has been growing in the US for the last 5 years.
I have just been saddled with more work.

my brains can rack in more information, much more information but my eyes seems like they are going to pop out O___O

what i see at work are flights coming in, and in quite a few flights, more crew than passengers come down.. the volume is down so much we're all wondering what the hell is going on..
to add to this, SIA froze hiring of cadet pilots and are cutting down flying time...
Lau Lee's son has been talking shit about "slowdown" and not "recession".. in the meantime, the idiots in power are leaking a lot of money attempting to maintain white elephant infrastructure like the goddamned "super trees" and other shit like the goddamned "largest stadium" while you see roads with larger and larger potholes, patchwork asphalt... and lots of other critical things being ignored for the high profile things..
to add to this, the amount of money they have to pay out for the CPF and the suspicion that they pilfered the CPF money to shore up Temasek is getting louder even though i hope they did not do it and there is no evidence despite the shroud of opaqueness about the CPF funds...
look at the mess they are in when they "have to" import more foreigners on flimsy excuses in order to shore up the property prices and to generate more GDP...
there is a lot more their screwed up policies show if you bother to think about why they are doing it, and all of them reveal they have no idea what to do, and are just putting in stop-gap plans to tide them over the short term, damn the long term consequences...
it is frightening..
I'm resigned to the fact that we deserve the government that we vote for.
The economy is in a very terrible state.
But those who do not speak to industry insiders will never know this.
Nonetheless it is also true that we are doing reasonably ok compared with many countries. As long as EU and USA keeps dragging their feet, the hole dug gets deeper.
But I still prefer Botanic Garden to the one at the bay anytime.

The Botanic Gardens dates all the way back to 1859. As such, it is very much a part of our heritage and national identity, seeing how it dates at least five or six generations back.
Which is why I shook my head sadly when our local rags proudly proclaimed the Gardens By the Bay as our 'Central Park'.
You cannot build heritage and a national identity overnight. That is something the people in charge were never really able to grasp.

The money that the world has, is it really true to be of that amt??? Is roll here and there one…
which money are u refering? cold hard physical cash or credit???
I would be thrilled if they built the Changi GP circuit.
But no.....the higher-ups still reckon Marina Bay is much better.
Maybe it is so.
But if we can have more Melvin Choo, then it still makes so much more sense than that yearly inconvenience we get.

we have more virtual money (credit) then physical cash we currently have...
meaning to say, if everyone in the world goes to the bank now and withdraw money, the whole world will instantly collapse...
Edited: Get 2601 to explain... I need to upload our nomnom photos from ytd...
The amount of money as a whole doesn't really matter.....
It is the distribution that is crucial.
When people start printing like nobody's business as they do now, those of us who do not get the money will simply watch our money value fall and then the situation worsens!

I'm with you and 2601 on that. I'm biased though, because I play there every Sunday. It's overrun with maids holding picnics but it's not populated with tourists and overpriced food outlets that scream 'GIMMICK!'
I am there very often....to take bus.
