But if you ask me, its better than my jailbreaked iphone 3GS, and my first love definitely.
I think it lags a lot le. Really lags. For a 1 Ghz processor I expect it to be much faster than the Milestone XT but I don't lag so much on the XT! And XT hv better voice quality too

iPhone
Motorola Dext
Currently using Samsung Galaxy S and Nokia Express Radio
For me, the good thing about Samsung Galaxy S is the video playback quality.
And the bad thing is, the camera has no flash.
Android Apps are not that much.
so for those who want owns a phone fill with games, get an iPhone instead. (:
nevertheless, i'm still happy with my Samsung galaxy S
Today i play back the starcraft 2 kerrigan cinematic in HD 720p on the galaxy s and it is the most awesome thing you could ever imagine. Don't bother playing HD 1080p videos on it, it won't work.
On a sidenote, the past 2 days, on 2 separate occasions, the phone lagged during an incoming call while idle. I reckon its better to turn off and on the phone once in awhile so it doesn't go cranky.
Ditzy up for Windows phone 7?..
Heard there's integration with social networking sites
I'm happy with my Dext.. Syncs all my facebook, twitter updates to my phone.
No, unless its impressive enough to catch my eye. I have not tried any social networking apps with the galaxy, so I have no issues there.
I do enjoy using my jailbroken 3GS, even spent quite a bit of money on some excellent jailbroke apps. Most expensive one was a blacklist app which can do some really nifty things.
In my current occupation, its easier to operate a phone with a proper keypad, so my touchscreen phone days are numbered.
Mine comes by default. For those using phones with Motor Blur or intending to use - blackflip/ dext models
(Motorola forces u to create an account with them, if you dont you will not be able to use the phone at all).
I contemplated getting the Iphone but I hate to be restricted by the operating system... that was why I got my first Windows mobile phone - the samsung omnia i900.
Used it till I accidentally soaked the phone in the swimming pool
Good phone.. great specs.. (released 2 years ago, with a 650mhz processor) in comparison, the HTC hero's processor is 5xx
HTC Touch Diamond 2
lousiest smart phone. xD
Yesterday, my galaxy drove me up the wall. Apparently, the video player app hanged but did not display the warning that allows a forced close. Because of that, the phone did not display notifications, hence calls, and messages come in, but are not indicated. So for 4 hours yesterday I didnt realise calls and messages came in until I restarted the phone.
And because of the hung app, I couldnt even off the phone to restart it normally, I had to remove the battery to force off. This has happened quite a few times already.
If I want a comparison, I have used the jailbroke iphone 3GS over a period of 8 months, and the galaxy only 2 months, but within the 2 month period, the galaxy has required me to forced off more times than my iphone has ever hung on me in 8 months.
I want to dump it while the resale price is still high, and buy 2 nokia E72s to give away as presents, then i go back to my nokia as well. At least my E90 can surf and post in sgforums unlike all the phones that came after.

Galaxy is a super fail phone
In a week it hung twice on me and the lag drives me up the wall
actually I myself at 1st wanna get the galaxy S but heng I didn't..
in the end, I'm happy dat I got the Wave instead..
The galaxy s is not a bad phone, it just needs to address some bugs. I am still blown away by the screen quality when playing HD videos on it.
You might find it hard to believe, but the only nokia phone which has a screen to rival that is the nokia E90's internal widescreen. I have a feeling samsung copied that technology from them.
get me the purple one leh tank cute

20 servings of the pan fried foie gras at Private Affairs, whenever I want, whenever I like.
either flash your firmware or root it and then install a lagfix with an updatezip.
this is why you buy a android phone for.
for the freedom to customise your firmware.
my quadrant speed now maintains above the 2000 level and i can open multiply apps and switch between them with no lag. Don't be lazy, a smart phone can only be as smart as the user.
I don't need to customise my galaxy firmware or make it go faster, I just need it not to do the stupid things when I don't need it to.
the only gripe i have is the fking rotating screen. i guess its the problem with all the phones. when i am on my bed and i am lying sideways, the fking screen rotates to the horizontal way when i am viewing it vertically.
puii!

like?
what is the video app that you are using? the stock one? what firmware are you on? FYI singtel released an updated firmware for the local market if you are reluctant to jump to other firmwares.

Like hanging and not giving me an error warning me it hanged. And no fail safe off button. I read about rooting before, but it doesn't give much advantages, other than the ability to customise firmware, and some additional features, but the phone already has them. Anyway, I am moving on in awhile.
there are several lagfix options available. can try xda developers forum.
i shld also be moving on in awhile also. either to HTC or back to blackberry if OS6 doesnt kill them.
My company has a starhub roadshow with attractive coporate plans for the Iphone 4G. which means i will see tons of people using them soon. hahaha...
so far, i am enjoying the android os and looking forward to froyo and gingerbread. as for the person who asked about social network intergration above, i havent managed to sync my facebook events to my calendar yet. havent downloaded any calendar apps other than the stock one. But it syncs perfectly on my old blackberry 9700.
I don't use my phone for facebook, so no issues there, don't use it for calendar either, so issues there. Fark I don't use it much for anything other than video playback. So there.
maybe we shld do a screenshot of our phones.
I'm too lazy to download the app, and lazier to take out the data cable, and much more lazier to type in the image hosting URL, and verify an upload.
