  i've always wondered why don't they go slash their bosses, an MP or someone everyone hates.. why do they go slash innocent people?

  and in other news I suppose what's been going on at the foxconn factories in shenzhen is a consequence of cheaper better faster taken to the extreme? ultimately there is a price to be paid when companies chases the bottom dollar.

  foxconn is nuts..

  this has been in the news for a few months already, and only recently did they do something apart from hire a few counsellors?

  i still think that the CEOs should be taken out to face these things personally...

  sort of the CEO of BP and that company which ran the rig should be made to face the Louisana fishery workers, the people who steered the ships to be made to face us... stuff like that.. and we are allowed to bring baseball bats and other weapons..

  yeah, the term going postal did originate from there. I use china as an example because singapore is a distant province of china now.

  and the pressure to raise wages in china has already led to companies sourcing for an alternate supply of cheap workers to exploit outside of china.  when will this end?

  I was reading about low wage workers from other countries flocking to china to take up blue collar jobs there !!!!!!!!

  it was in the straits times .... I was like WTF !!!

  but I'd say it's a good thing that companies are exploring options outside of china ......

  spread the wealth a bit ... there was a very good opinion piece in the rag a little while back too, that says developing countries in south america and africa are being seriously farked over cos of china ... the undervalued yuan is wiping out competition from these countries ....

  Still under the weather..... still got too much high-viscosity snot and phlegm in my nasal passages and lungs. Won't be running again anytime soon. 

  In other news, the June holidays have started for the kids.

  The good thing about that is that we now have much smoother bus rides and clearer roads in the morning. 

  The bad thing about that is that malls and shopping centers are now packed with brats.

  i finally got to KO for 12hrs.

  had to work + attend wake for 3 days.  friggin barely slept

  3 more days to my holiday!!!

  given your condition, brisk walks and low volume weight training are more suitable? nothing too taxing.

  came back from the doctor's

  my blood pressure is sky high.. so i'm put on a short dose of medication for it...

  the medication for the throat is pretty normal..

  the doctor is paranoid coz a patient of hers had a stroke after a coughing fit... he refused high BP medication and ended up with the stroke.. so she's sending me home to rest for 2 days..

  i'm going to see her again on friday about the effectiveness of the medication

  strange things uttered by her... she said that studies show that cholesterol is genetic.. she's one of those with the short end of the stick.. she's skinny as heck, ate healthy all her life and exercises regularly... cholesterol sky high until she's on twice the dosage of the statins i'm on to control it... only the morbidly obese will have trouble with cholesterol as they are stuffing their faces all the time...

  my BP could be due to my throat being "narrower than normal" which causes me to take more effort than normal people to breathe... this taxes the heart.. and taxes the heck out of the heart whenever i'm not well.. so she's putting me on BP medication.. quite new stuff which has minimal to no side effects...

  i'm going home...

  both my parents have high BP .... most of my uncles and aunties too .....

  so I'm well at risk ...

  so far my blood pressure is okay ....

  genetics is part of the equation, lifestyle factors is another. and the definition of eating healthy can also differ depending on who you talk to. look up the research on statins, the material seems to suggest that they do more harm than good in the long run.
