no lah...too far from his parents liao...
once we nearly got a condo at east coast coz the owner migrating and selling very very cheap(ard $800k, its a 5 years condo) but we kind of slower than people...evening advert up, by 10pm it was sold...
the place near to parkway, very nice!!!

PRs are not eligible for HDB flats, singles can only buy resale, and no subsidies for them either.
actually hor, I would say the distinction between citizens and PRs is quite stark if you read up on the HDB guidelines. They also pay much higher rates for HDB upgrading schemes, nevermind what those SC idiots say. It's quite a privilege to be a citizen actually.
nope singles get nothing from hdb if anything more restrictions. Anyway frankly how many people will actually have to pay for the upgrading (i.e.own the flat when the upgrading comes around). Not many leh.
Hmmz I remember reading this interesting article or website that counted out that the different between citizen and PR was only about a few hundred a year or something evened out over the years and I think if single male, you actually made a loss.

HDB is really out to screw anyone who's not married. Social engineering at its most repulsive.

I wouldn't say anything about the single males, since I'm leaving their ranks soon, but the moment you factor in the housing grants for citizens even for resale flats, that's 30k straight off already, how to come to only a few hundred ?

I may not know much, or understand some things. But this is just plain stupid.
I'm not even thinking of a dream home, or a new flat or whatever. I'd be lucky to not lose this flat when my dad is gone.
