Okay, that fella emailed again and clarified that he gave the wrong MC.... he apparently has another one for 31st October....
But even so, I don't handle MC cases.... the course lecturer had already told the whole class that only he can grant excuses for missing the test.
Put an MC on my table also, must at least put a note on it to explain what it was for lah..... kaoz....
sounds like a lot of people in the uni are short on common sense these days
it's not limited to the uni
ok, my body is rebelling - body is achy and i even overslept this morning
you're an endorphin addict..
seen this in one of the guys at work...
right now, he's got worn knees, a bad back, screwed spine and feet which look pretty much deformed..
he still can't stop exercising because if he does, he falls ill..
nah, I think she's just a masochist ....

omg
out of curiosity...what kind of exercise does he engage in?
but then, if you do not know him, you'd think he's got a fricken excellent body...
the bits which are screwed are not visible..
he runs a lot.. and i mean A LOT...
used to be during lunchtime, he'd go run... that's in addition to the run in the morning before work and the run in the evening after work..
sometimes he'll not run during lunch.. he'll go swimming which is pretty good... but since swimming requires a pool, he goes running most of the time..
that is in addition to going to the gym (where he screwed his back when he slipped and fell.. i think he was holding on to some weights when he fell)

that usually the case. if you have the patience to plow through the link, there's quite a bit of info on the subject
wow, sounds like a big time exercise addict!

i read some of that..
maybe that's why we see triathletes dropping dead like flies these days and those seemingly on "horrific diets" living to 100

Three times a day? Nuts!
Twice a day is already pushing it. There's hardly any downtime for his body with that kind of regimen.

yeah, the inflammation and heart damage issues certainly seem the likely culprits behind the sudden death cases.
oh yeah.. you should see his "diet"
steamed chicken breast.. no seasoning, nothing..
egg whites.. shitloads of creatine..
boiled veggies, again nothing else..
some fruit, and dunno what other kinds of supplements..

The part about the Top Ten Reasons Not To Run a Marathon..... the first eight were well backed-up, but the last two were anecdotal and may not really mean anything.
That said, it's true that marathons can be hazardous for those who are not well-prepared for it.
I lost a LOT of water through sweat..... I must have chugged down at least two liters of 100 PLUS throughout the run, and my weight still dropped by two kilos.
And my digestive system got messed up.... those two liters of 100 PLUS just kept sloshing around my stomach throughout the run and refused to be absorbed. It was only after the run that the water started getting absorbed.
I could only start peeing about four hours after the run, and phew..... let's not get started about the stench.....
