i did a blood test earlier in the year too ..
doc asked if i wanted a more expensive test which includes more stuff like testing for the marker thing ..
i said no need

i think it's $200 leh T.T
but the bad thing abt the marker thingies is that. If you know that you're 'at risk', you'll have to live with the 'oh shit what if some time in the future it hits me' fear until either 1) you really get it 2) you die. but dont get it. lol.
on the other hand...if you're already living with the 'fear', the blood test might just tell you otherwise.

for me its paid for by my insurance company so I might as well use it

the company actually send me letter to remind me about the free screening test. they will tell me which doctor to see. no need to pay first claim later.
