Eh hello..... I was in the final, final batch to handle 2 1/2 years, okay....
More specifically, I got a two-month reduction thanks to ah teo's declaration..... which was bad for me, because I was just about to clear leave and was going to spend long periods of time at home anyway.
End result? All the off-in-lieu I had been saving up for ORD were burnt, and I lost something like 1 1/2 months salary (~$1100) for virtually nothing in return.

now that the retrofitting is done, the maintenance guys came in last night to move the cubicles back to the original place...
thing is, they took away one cubicle wall segment and did not replace it when they moved the cubicles back.. now the cubicle can't even comfortably seat the staff who were there, and one of them is pregnant
and the guys also "took the initiative" to move things like filing cabinets and the fridge to a "better location"
great locations.. now we cannot open the fridge and filing cabinets because the arc of the door and the clearance for the drawers are blocked
the supervisor was called to come and when he saw, no words needed be said and he went "ai yai yai!"
that's for leaving the job to a bunch of bangladeshis who were supervised by a very blur foreman
in other news, we've got a bazaar upstairs later.. mooncakes and other rubbish available

Not just dusty SMRT buses.. The bus are rotting - rusty articulator (the metal piece on top to join the 2 carriages of the bus together) or fraying rubber piece rubbing w/ the road surface
They're just 7 yr old buses to be sure of
And ytd what a ride, my SMRT bus ride ended up the whole bus mount road kerb, and it's not a PRC driver

ours is so uniquely positioned; because we're on the trading floor (read: money/profits), we've gotta sit at certain desks and the PC and Bloomberg machine has to be either in the center, left or right depending on your birth date and time. boss took the fengshui guy around.

mine is center. my boss' is also center but the bloomberg machine MUST be on the right. and we must sit on the side that faces north.

It's using the Lotus name. The facilities will be in Norfolk until the HQ at Sepang is completed.

the funny thing is, LTA has slammed e brakes on procurement of bendy buses. Now SMRT has to either follow SBS on double deck procurement or single decker buses only
