aha!!
someone loaded a virus into one of the stand-alone PCs..
i stuck a thumbdrive into my PC, extracted a pic from email, went to the standalone PC to photoshop it, came back, stick the thumbdrive back in and i got a virus warning...
it's been cleaned but it shows what's going on with it..

It's like the SoHo..used to have CDG and other niche "guerilla" independent labels like Bape and Supreme..then there's the punk rock music shop and alot of delicatessen stores..

it's so near the office but i never get around to going there...there's a record shop which is just staring at me in the face each time i drive home.. which i say i must go but never been to..
oh yah.. the place is slowly being overrun by sleaze with uncountable "spas" springing up everywhere around the place

do folks normally get sick after being drenched in the rain by that reason alone or because they get chilled after being soaked to the bones?

except for the one time when i was drenched for about 14 hours during NS and kept being re-drenched by the torrential rain, i never fell ill being wet or anything..

well that's usually the case for me except for this morning when i got caught in the downpour. tried to be a hero and went to the gym for a workout in water-sloshed shoes and damp clothes. a bit of a minor headache now and am wondering if this is the after effects of a totally silly decision or because of sitting next to a sniffling lady on a flight last week.

Well, the cold brought about by being in the rain can weaken your immune system.... if your body already has the viruses, they might then get a jump on you....
That said, like Bear, the only time I ever fell ill directly because of the rain was way back in BMT.
I had outfield for ten days straight. Eight of them were CAT 1.

i can't afford to get sick now, at least not this week.

i only got sick once at work
i rode in the rain to go to work (i think 1pm afternoon shift)
had briefing in the aircon room
since i was wet already, i was out in the rain towing the aircrafts.
so around the evening about 4-5pm i started to feel quite cold
then i went to the MO and i actually had a fever.
my one and only attC in my regular life

There is this moronic guy who is spamming posts on his Fly River Turtle infected with parasites and what can he do and tell us not to ask him to bring the Turtle to a vet because he have no money
Anyway, the more I ask, I think it’s more like planaria or nematodes in the water than parasites. WTH if it’s really parasites, his turtle should be dead by now and he tells me it’s in his filter and moving around. Parasites need a host to survive -_-“
