I'm telling you, I'm so lucky to have found her, some times I lay awake at night and get frightened by all this ... do I really deserve such a wonderful woman ? ....
she knows I'm still trying to make my mark, so she tries to steer me to the food court and the hawker centres instead of the restaurants .... or else she'll sneak off and pay the bill if I'm not fast enough .... or she'll say, let's just cook at eat at my place .... curl up at home, watch dvd, save money ....
she brews me soups and tong sui, buys me tonics, would wash the clothes I left at her place for me ... and lots of other things ....all this for me ? ... a balding, pudgy, young man with a backside full of debts ? ... when she has a long list of suitors who's much older and established career wise ? .....
I thank the big guy upstairs for every single day, every single moment I'm with her ....

Congrats Fatum! Oh yeah, proposal rings are usually more elaborate while the wedding ring is a simple band. And you probably don't need the engagement ring.

One thing I've learnt about jewellry is that you should look for something unique, interesting in terms of design and cut. Sentimental value > Monetary value.
There's no point spending tons of one gem/jewel. Expensive gems do not mean it is valuable, it is only expensive because of the demand.
And don't thank the big guy up there, he's done nothing. Want to thank, thank her and yourself instead.
