I see many pieces of what looks like several orange spotted trevallies, one bigeye trevally, a few speckled groupers, one big ang chor, smaller ang kuays, and one red throat emperor, and what looks like a cut up stingray and aruan tasek (cobia)
that's a good catch pinky ... the orange spotted trevallies are nice ...

the red throat emperor is the brown snapper like fish on the lower left quadrant, between two orange spotted trevally ...
the bigeye is the one on the top right quadrant, the smallest trevally there ... the one with the row of bony ridges on the caudal peduncle ....
the orange spotted one is very good to eat ... flesh very delicate ... but like all trevallies, must be bled quickly .... mommy likes to buy smaller version of it to steam whole ...

Sad to say I dun wanna eat too coz of the pollution
That is why when you say Singapore bred oysters I jumped -_-"
I was telling Chris to take back more of the smaller fishes....use his giants to trade for smaller fish. He said he already did that

You left out poached :P or cook Bouillabaisse (Fish Stew)
and baked fish
actually I think Singapore's waters are pretty okie lah .....
I can't remember where the newspaper report said the local oysters are being sold ...
I think the orh luah type of oysters are all local ones anyways ....
funny thing about singapore waters, is that a lot more exotics are being caught nowadays ... me and my kakis caught a whole bunch of waigeo sea perch the other night .... and in the fishing forum someone caught a queensland grouper the other day !!!

One place that serve raw oysters from Singapore is Carousel -_-"
I checked it up and found the report
Orh luah sell local oysters I wun complain so much coz it is cheap comfort food
KNS 5 star hotel I pay so much to eat local oysters I say screw them man.
I think quite a few people caught Star Gazers too. They say that's a nice fish to eat but it sure looks fugly
oh yah ... my mommy's been using this recipe to the parrot fish I caught (and store bought black cod fillets) ...
fry the fish with chye por and minced garlic ....
the chye por gives a very good aroma to the fish ... it's nicer than the regular ginger slices thing ...

I heard those local oysters are by no means cheap ....
I feel a lot of pain paying for oysters nowadays; in pluto even so far inland where I was, oysters were like 60 cents each ....

mommy says the smaller ones are poisonous ....
for me, I'm worried about ciguartera poisoning ....but parrot fish is so good to eat ! ....
I let go of the smaller ones ... but the big ones are so hard to come by nowadays ... you can't catch them at night ... so after dawn we always say "first parrot fish we cao yah" ...

Well in the scale of things etc
I remember I was asking Chris how come the Oysters at Carousel look so strange
Dun look like the normal Australian oysters
Now I know why
And I remember telling him it taste different too.
NB. The report says that it's nice and what not but all I can say is that the writer need to change his taste buds
It's like the report that Taiwan Duck is how nice and tender and what not and better than USA duck but after eating both, USA duck wins hands down.
