once in a while, the thing spewed up gold-coloured confetti...
then this happens...
the people throw upturned umbrellas to catch the confetti...

I think that anything from Cai Shen Ye would be considered 'good luck'.
So even if the confetti had come out of the effigy's mouth, kinda like vomit of sorts, they will still consider the 'vomitus' to be 'lucky'. -

Heng ah Sunday's temp is expected to drop to 31 deg C. I feel very sorry for the construction workers, gardeners, firemen and lifeguards, having to work under that searing sun!
