Did you take German classes there before? Both schools are introduced by my friend. She had 2 colleagues' wives taking German at both places, and the feedbacks of both places are pretty positive. I thought of going to Cambridge since she can go there for her Mandarin class too, and we can meet for our regular alcohol injections after class. More for convenience. Peinsula Plaza is so near to Clarke Quay and all the water holes...
just level 1 at goethe. i should actually go back for a refresher.

However, most European languages are spinned off from Latin, so if you are able to speak Latin, you should be able to get around. Then again, I don't think there are places that teaches Latin in Singapore. But, I need to check that out.
I believe German is oso spoken in Belgium and Austria....Latin is a dead language. Dun think one needs to speak Latin to get around Europe. Basic English and German is good enuff...

second your opinion...Goethe is good

I just called Goethe. Their classes starts at 615PM. Now, I remember why I wasn't keen in them. I knocked off at 6pm, and to leave right on the dot, seems a little inappropriate... and to fly down from Raffles Place to Winsland House before 615pm, seems like I need the Batmobile to do it...
Cassie, do the class starts punctually? Or does it actually starts at 630pm?

punctual. can't remember if they have weekend classes?
I studied Level 1 German during the special term at university...I haven't been offered Level 2 yet even though I applied this semester.
Eagle und Fatum sprechen Deutsch auch.

I'm not in Singapore on most weekends, so difficult to go for weekend classes.
Its alright, I am sure missing 15mins of a class is not going to cause me to fail my German. Thanks!

True, alot of people are learning German. My good friend is a German too, and I know quite a few Germans as well. I am thinking of picking it up since I can always practice my German easily. Anyone else keen to learn German? We can do it together.
Hmm... I'm quite interested. When do you plan to start?

Their next intake starts Oct 13. The dates are not out yet, but will be around end of next week. They have about 4 classes per week, so I think you can pick the date that suits you the most. Its $490 for 10 classes, starts 615pm end 930pm. Pretty long class...
I will register early Oct I think..

That I am not sure. Probably if you are doing full time? I am going for the part time one, so its once a week (i think!)
once a week is probably more than enough coz they do have homework which you'll hafta hand in. just like school! and if got a teacher like...she makes you re-do your homework whenyou get it wrong and hand it in again...
plus you're working, so once a week is best.

they used to have twice weekly one and a half hours when they were at Finlayson Green, after work hours. Easier to concentrate with shorter duration. Maybe I have short attention span.
