I knew it !
My post counts is gonna bite me in my ass one day !

I've tried it before and its really nice and yummy!!
The taste is just different ...
Of course, I like the yum cha in Aussie too.. They are different and nice because they are made by HK chefs.. whereas in singapore, majority are from msia..
Ya, I agree with that. The dim sum in Oz are much better. Talking about yumcha.... it's almost time to go yumcha again. May be after our missy has finished her exam....

Crazy bosses are everywhere. I used to have a boss who graded a colleague poorly during her annual appraisal, because she lunched in the office everyday, instead of going out to "socialize" with other colleagues.
End of the day, you can't control who you have as your boss. That's why you should always make sure you are well-compensated. Makes the whole "crazy boss" thing, a lot more tolerable.

i lunch in most days too. i take it as "me time"...my boss doesn't bother. the most important thing is the bottomline.

Eh not true.
U can always quit :D
That ties in with the trying something new part - try new job, new colleagues, new boss hoho.

I agree with you, which is why I joined another bank when I know her work style. For my colleague, she is married with a kid, joined the company for only a year, and actually took a pay cut because she wanted a job that have lesser responsibilities. She didn't want to resign because she is afraid it will look bad on her CV (paycut plus change of job too frequently) so she have to hang around for another year or two. Tough luck for her!
I guess you having the time of your life and having the pie and eating it at the same time.
It is rare among the friends that I having.
They are bogged down by debts and worrying about the next meal.
Good luck with your invitation to get like-minded people.
I believe you will be able to get the gang up pretty soon.
Thats why we have Jack Neo making Money not Enough and Money not Enough 2 because everyone unless those fabulously rich is perpetually in debt.
debt .... is a constancy of modern life .....
if you're not in debt .... you're either filthy rich ... or are not living hard enough ...
so get over it .....

Or you are not married and do not have any kids yet!
Originally posted by Girl_Next_Door:Hi everyone! I am turning 30 this year, and am gradually realizing that I am at different life stages of my peers (i.e. friends I used to study with).
They are either married without kids, married with kids, single with BF or single without a BF but not really enjoying their life trying new things. Personally, there is nothing wrong with their life, because I am not here to critic. I am here to meet people who are at the same or similar life stage as me.
I am at the life stage whereby I am young (or I like the idea that I am still young!), well-educated, have a very successful career that pays me well, have the time and ability to try different things, ranging from going away for vacations (sometimes alone, sometimes with friends) at least once a month, to picking up new hobbies like horse-riding. Most of my (male & female) friends are foreigners and/or expats, but I am pretty sure that there are Singaporeans or maybe more foreigners, who are at the same life stage as me.
Anyone out there in this forum, who is in similar situation as me?
Is this not similar to the post in Overseas...
Anyway, I am decently educated and gainfully unemployed. Married but free to do anything I want. I loves to go on vacation alone, especially to Asian countries. Must try vacations that are not the norms. I would love to go to Kashmir in India...Beautiful place but could be killed any moment...enjoying nature's beauty with the suspense that I might not live tomorrow.
Would u be interested to join me on a 2 weeks trip to Kashmir in Dec? Esp the Indian/Pakistan border part. Or would u be interested in Beirut?

Yes, I posted at the Overseas too, because I didnt know the forum are all linked. I thought it was independent, and it is catered for different group of people. Little did I know, its all the same people. Then again, this is my first day of posting, and checking out this forum, of course the assumption is I am supposed to know how the forum works.
Not a fan of India/Pakistan area. Will be keen in Cairo/Greece though. Nevertheless, I have made plans for December already. Thanks for asking.
Hey there and welcome! I have nothing in common with you other than being young, having lots of foreign friends and enjoying travel (once I save up enough) and talking to people.
Yeah I am turning 31 this year and well I dun feel old at all...cos the fact is 31 is not old mah~~~ And i do not intend to get married till nearer to 35-40...cos if I have a life expectancy of 60 to 70....i need to at least spend 35 years by myself before I have to share my life with someone else. And yeah I like to travel but pretty much travelling for work.... KL, BANGKOK and HK haha....but well I do get my free time to go for long trips like France and Italy and in 2 weeks time...MELBOURNE~~~ but again, not before I go to HK for work.....
and as for responsibility...i was carefree and earning money jsut for myself, until of cos when my dad passed away 6 months ago, and I have to now take care of the family as I am the only son and my sister is married...so well I am now learning to be the man of the family and taking up the upkeep of the family....
