No lah! It's true what choco said! There's a TV program here entitled, "Border Security" which shows the customs folks at work in Australia's ports, airports, etc. They will not allow a new bolster in, much less an old one! They will start to question if it's pure cotton wool inside the bolster and then say something like we're worried there might be organisms inside that will prove to be a threat to our agriculture and native plant life blah blah.
Thank goodness I come from Singapore because I heard from this Vietnamese Chinese shopkeeper that the customs staff sometimes insist that their plane gets sprayed on the inside before they will allow the passengers to disembark!
On the flights that I took to Oz, the crew sprayed disinfectant as well.

:S You could re-stuff the bolskie. Give it fresh new insides, then patch up the holes. It'll smell different and yet, the same... :D So sad to give it up.
My poor bolskie. I have taken care of it well so it has no holes. I guess I only have a couple of choices about it. Yeah so sad to say good bye to my bolskie. I said it 3 times in my life and I cannot stand it each time the old one has to go.... its heart breaking...
