last time tv more lasting?Originally posted by jetta:Thankfully though, not all kids are that destructive. I was blessed that my two weren't that way when they were little. At most they just loved to push the On/Off button on the TV over and over again. And that bloody TV lasted 10 years.![]()

There are many ways of childproofing a house other than just paddle sharp corners:Originally posted by hisoka:how to childproof a house?
make its everythign padded with those mad pple cells we see on tv?
Good for you.Originally posted by tare:i prefer the "i'll outlast tis asshole and see how he DIE" approach!!!
Originally posted by honeymouse:There are many ways of childproofing a house other than just paddle sharp corners:
- Power point. Make sure you have those plastic protector on the power socket so that kids can't get electrocuted when poking a metal stuff into the holes
- Make sure you store away "poisons" (household detergents) and medications where kids can't reach
- Do not let any fragile things and sharp objects lie around the living room where kids can just reach. Also, put away things they can easily put into their mouth and get choked.
- Either stop your kids from entering the kitchen or make sure the gas ignition button is beyond their reach. As for oven, it's best buying one with childproof function that kids can't open it as well as multiple-glazed glass window so that it's cool to touch from the outside. Like wise for dish washer.
- In bathroom, make sure there are no buckets of water lying around as kids can easily get drowned.
- For those with blinds at home, ensure that the strap (for opening/closing) is properly stored away so that kids can't "hang" themselves accidentally.
- if you have an old fridge (that you're not using) sitting around, make sure you use rope to tie around so that the door can't be opened or simply remove the fridge door. Many kids like to use it for "hide and seek".
Etc....
