buddhism similar to jedi

i happened to rewatched star wars episode 1 to 6 recently and i came across something pretty interesting. If u rewatched episode 3 where anakin skywalker and padme were having a meal at a restaurant, padme was asking anakin abt jedi. He said that in the study to become a jedi master, possesion is forbidden, attachment is forbidden, compassion is the center of a jedi life. A jedi practices mindfulness through meditation. Although buddhism did nt state that attachment and possesions are not forbidden, they are a form of suffering if one doesnt understand the law of impermanence. I think it is pretty cool. If u rewatched episode 1 where qui gonn was fighting with darth maul and the energy shield seperates them, qui gon actually meditates. I tried to find online for articles which supports that the jedi concept was extracted from buddhism but unfortunately i cant any.

Jedi do not reject the regime of power and desire. That's the weakness.
While Buddhism hold emptiness as sacred. Thus desire to be emptiness fill desire itself.
As such no personal realm of achievement of desire in any directions.

if emptiness is held sacred..then the desire is there..how then to break free from desires?

Yes, desire is everything. And desire is nothing.
To acheive itself is a desire in any direction.
Sucide is a desire to die.
To take the next breathe is the desire to live.
No desire is fiction.
