In library about "Anti-Catholicism" the RC quote
[b]The problem is that, regardless of what it had in the past, the modern Vatican is not fantastically wealthy. In fact, it has run a budget deficit in most recent years and has an annual budget only around the size of that of the Archdiocese of Chicago.
.....anyone falling for this??
U have ears, eyes & brain to discern the truth & lies...use it wisely that's all I have to say. If RC can attract so much controversy, something must be wrong with the "church." Btw, u can stop saying about me quoting from chick.....I've given u url that has nothing to do with chick in my last reply...& I have also read the article from the link u provided.
Quote from http://www.remnantofgod.org/nl031031.htm:
This also became more plausible in my mind after researching how the Islamic faith came to be, and RomeÂ’s obvious involvement in it. History show that the Vatican arranged the marriage of Mohammed and his wife who was a catholic, and the Catholic bishops help Mohammed write the Koran and gain his power. This was done by Papal Rome all in an effort to cause the Muslims to hate the Jews, as well as all Christians who were not catholic. Two birds with one stone if you will. Get rid of the Christians so that Rome could stand as the supreme moral authority, and rid the Jews of their land so that Rome can set her temples upon the holy land in triumph. Of course history proves it backfired for the Pope, which in turn caused him to growl across Europe in the crusades that saw countless deaths for centuries. However lately, it seems Jerusalem is finally within the grasp of Rome once again!

Thank you for your quotes. I have gone through the article on the first weblink you provided and I don't find any references to the source of the author's finding.
If RC can attract so much controversy, something must be wrong with the "church."
Who in first place created so much controversy to make life so challenging for the Catholics? Who's the one who said that the Catholic church has the names of all Protestants in the world? Who came out with the idea that the Pope wrote the Koran?
The second link that you provided, I went through that too. It was pretty interesting as I am very into archaeologist findings from time to time. But what doesn't impress me is how the author derive his/her own assumptions in his/her own words. Things like "Bull fights, Rosaries and Assassinations are from Islam". Buddhists use rosaries too. Did they get it from the Moslems as well? The creditability of the two authors' writings is a big question mark. Like what you said earlier, I am going to say the same thing to you :
U have ears, eyes & brain to discern the truth & lies...use it wisely that's all I have to say.
When I put two articles together, one said that Catholics wrote the Koran and the second said that the Catholics came from Islam. So which is which?
It will be good if you could quote texts from history books or ecyclopedia which give factual accounts on the history, rather than articles written by the fundamentalists whose name and background most of us never even heard of.
I have been busy these days and will not be taking part in so much discussion. But I promise once I'm off my workload, I will update the Catholic forum with topics on the fallacy of Chicks tracts and some other erroneous writings on the Catholic Church.
SingaporeMacros, you're doing great.
