I wouldn't go there if I were you. The common name for this group is Mormon. They originate from the United States' state of Utah. Founder is a guy called Joseph Smith. They have an alternative Bible called the Book of Mormon. Believed that they are lost tribe of Jews who migrated to the US. Polygamy was OK till recently. They do. The HQ in Singapore is near Newton MRT and the Expressway next to this road called Sarkies Road. They don't have a cross outside or on the building. You can see this pair of Ang Mo guys in white shirts and black pants hanging around Paya Lebar post office (next to Paya Lebar MRT). They always go to the SingPost to use the internet.
All the mormon preachers on the street are easily identified with their name tag. Quite big one. Usually black in colour with white fonts. -

Actually a more interesting story about them happened in KL.....
I was on holiday at the Petronas Tower basement minding my own business and this well dress angmoh youngish gentleman in tie and long sleeve step in front of me and as how have I been and tried to make conversation. No name tag 'cos maybe Mormon's ban in Malaysia or something. So straight away I pick him up as Mormon and I said rather loudly and rather ah-bengly "what? Mormon ah???" Saw his face change color and made a comment about what a fine family I have and walked away..... So darn strange....
Came back from a business trip to Indonesia last week. The beside table has the typical Gideons' Bible AND THE BOOK OF MORMON.... they are going places.... anyone know if JW Marriot is a Mormon??? -

mormonism is something fresh. it shouldn't be treated as a BAD cult. Mormon people are hardworking and family oriented.
mainstream christians don't exude that at all. -

Mormonism is not exactly fresh... Bigamy is a major tenet of their beliefs. Beyond that it is the claim that they are really Jewish.
The fact that a group is hardworking and family oriented should not be the only indicator of whether a group is good or not.
The point of the Christian faith (oh, please people who disagree, don't start another debate here) is to worship God. Only if you are at peace with their definition of "God" then should you join a group.
Beyond that, do bear in mind all religious groups are still run by people, and shortcomings do happen.
