  for the hotel booking - not really, unless you are into auspicious dates and there's a real auspicious one next year that many couples are eyeing. I think at least 6mths in advance will be fine. Which means you have to start looking around about 9mths before the dinner date.
  
  As for the numbers, you should have a rough idea how many pple you are inviting cuz most hotels/restaurants have a min table requirement.

  but i know that the auspicious dates dun always falls on weekends. And of cuz most couples prefer to have their wedding ceremony on the weekend.
