  I think it is totally wrong to say that.
  
  "...gathered for the feast..." ----> its more of like the addicts gathering for the daily doses.
  
  "...stabbed it with steely knives...but you cant kill the beast..." ----> it is like more steely knives signifying needles and when you cant kill the beast means more of like you can stab urself with needles but it aint gonna help you in your problems or take them away.

  My dear fren, I have done research on all these stuff, music that is supposedly evil. Mine may not be a comprehensive one but I am sure what you search on the internet isnt either. If not, I have seen them and I can conclude that they are not true. If all you have is what the internet says, then i guess it doesnt really stand strong.

  The reference to "Steely knives" is a dig on the Eagles long time rival, Steely Dan. Refer to the CD cover on the Greatest Hits Album for the interview. Here's is where one decide who to believe, the song writers themselves or people who read between the lines in everything the see.
  
  You may also read one of my previous notes with reference to the folklore surrounding Hotel California.
  
  Here is NOT to say that the lyrics does not refer to a lifestyle contrary to a Christian life. Putting in this way, 99% of what we read and view ARE contrary to Christian life, but we see them anyway. Even a movie as innocuous as Kramer vs Kramer can be viewed as anti-Christian as the theme is about divorce. For that matter, chasing after singers and actors, even though some of these people are purportedly Christians are also wrong.
  
  At the end of the day, it is not the content, but how much it affects us spiritually that is the point. I like the song, but I don't like it that much to want to listen to it all the time. I much prefer Sally Yeh and Jackie Chueng.

  i love this song and i dont care if it has any satanic message because if i am satanic, it's because of something else...not this song...

  I think Hotel California, far from being satanic or anything evil, actually has a social message there, i.e that it shows the degradation of drug addicts who think its quite glamorous initially, but soon go on to discover its hell on earth.Its not a evil song, more a song that warns against it.
