Basically I find this statment very sickening, disgusting and unbecoming of some hypocritical Christians.Originally posted by OrneryBoy:These religions are manly made
No one shall be saved only through Jesus Christ himself.
I see God as the 'president' of my life. The basis of my faith is to love God with all my heart, soul and mind and also to love people sincerely.Originally posted by NeonTetra:I am greatly concerned over the mindset of some modern Christians. I wonder what they see God as? What is the basis of their faith?
I do not focus on any speaker. I just greatly respect leaders, pastors, etc who are 'appointed' by God. Church is the gate of heaven. It has got to be clean, tidy, excellent and beautiful. I can't imagine going into a dark, shabby, sloppy, dirty place to worship God.Originally posted by NeonTetra:Do they focus on a charismatic speaker? Do they go after some nice looking church buildings? Do they see church as another social gathering?
^5. I do Religious Studies in my University too.Originally posted by Nelstar:I study religions.
Basically, I know a bit of everything, Taoism, Hinduism... etc
if christ were to even revive, ppl will still doubt him for a fake. the same old shit (the questioning, the accusation etc )will still happen again. most religion need their gods more for as a idol, a person for them to focus all their prayers to and follow. if they revive, how many ppl can stick to what they say, live as what they say? (they = christ, Buddha, Allah etc )Originally posted by NeonTetra:Here say wanna pray for revival in their lives, when all these while living their own way.
Originally posted by dumbdumb!:hmm, its abit complicated la. what does it mean to be follower of christ
i'm a christian, and i go to play pool in places where there are alot of smokers and gangsters hang out. its cheap there.
and i like going to pub, drink abit etc
to some people who are more "holy" they see it as wrong, i should spend my time doing more "beneficial" things, like spending 24/7 reading bible.
so how? there are some people who feel wearing casual to church is a sin as its not giving our best to God. so how?
its impossible to please everyone la, who calls u a hypocrite as long as you do not meet their standard of "holiness"
so to me, i just prefer to go by faith when i do things, as long as my conscience is clean, i'm fine with it. obviously when i sin, i will know its a sin, and i will confess it.. tts the best i can do
Originally posted by sillyme:thats why, i say its hard to just say alot of christians hypocrites. cuz u are comparing them with your own standards of holiness, how you feel things should be done, etc etc.
hi dumbdumb.
nothing wrong with going to pubs, pool places.. nothing wrong with wearing casual to churches./

i believe it is written,
Romans 14
The Weak and the Strong
Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgment on disputable matters. [b]One man's faith allows him to eat everything, but another man, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables. The man who eats everything must not look down on him who does not, and the man who does not eat everything must not condemn the man who does, for God has accepted him. Who are you to judge someone else's servant? To his own master he stands or falls. And he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.
