some people need to understand that cramming their personal beliefs down someone else's throat is basically fascism...
some people need to take about a dozen chill pills while mainlining the stuff at the same time..
some people need to realise that by ranting against others, doesn't mean they are not the same...
some people need to know that the sins of others will never exonerate them of their own...
some people just get on with their lives, letting their own actions be an example and the best evangelical tool and a beacon for the Lord's Word to everyone else, without saying a single word

there's nothing wrong so to speak to fail God. It's a matter of attitude and who we consider God at the end of the day. Pointing fingers is wrong..we r not to judge, but Christian edification i believe is very important. See something wrong and going wrong, its our duty to rebuke in love and not in condemnation. If every Christians says 'we should not point finger' and keep their mouths shut over such issues..one day...the church will become something disgusting.Originally posted by Chin Eng:In the 20 odd years as a Christian, I have not:
1. Gone to church just to feel good.
2. Listen to a particular speaker because he is charismatic.
3. Serve just to be blessed.
4. Give to be rewarded.
In the same 20 years, I have
1. Gone to church because I want to worship.
2. Listen and discern the word of God as the wisdom God allow me to.
3. Serve because there is a need.
4. Didn't think I gave enough.
I was a sinner and continues to sin daily, sometimes out of habit, sometimes out of ignorance. I have got rid of some bad habits and working on others. Am I a hypocrite, perhaps sometimes, but have patience please, God's not through with me yet.
hmm...nope..i don target at another denominations, types of churches....well..humans r humans..place them anywhere...they will be the same if they don allow God to intervene. I have no right to say a rich church makes a bad church..nor a famous church must be a wayward church. at the end of it all...its God who will judge. What i am concerned over...including myself..is who does Christians nowadays see God and His Church as.Originally posted by panzerjager:The attitude that you refer to being among some modern Christians, i believe, pertain primarily to those who preach the so-called "prosperity Christianity", with much influence from the charismatic churches. Think: those that have huge 'gawdy' structures (even crosses, most in neon lighting), whose leaders have middle to upper-middle class incomes, whose community work tend to portray themselves as unique among neighbouring churches, whose members (mainly youth) tend to dress over-the-top for service, with elitism in the way they carry themselves, whose programs subtly push themselves into the limelight....
The crux of my thread, in somewhat agreement with yours, is to point out that these 'modern' Christians have forgotten how to be meek and lowly in the eyes of men, yet be mounted up with surmounting power to live victoriously as children of God in this world of sin and death.

christians are not perfect just FORGIVEN ....Originally posted by NeonTetra:After some thoughts both concerning myself and some other people, i began to see a trend of Christian hypocrisy in the world today.
People claiming to bear witness to the name of Christ and at the same time doing things contrary to the same.
