One of my favourite shows is Bicentennial Man. Robin Williams plays as a robot servant. In his existence, he sought the meaning of life and lived to make himself human. He made himself artificial skin, learnt what is emotions, learnt about human sociolgoy, etc.
In the ending part of the show, he asked to become declared as a human by the government. But he was rejected because as a robot, he is immortal. He couldn't die. He lived on and realised the emptiness of living forever. His loved ones passed away, while he live on. And so he researched on and transfused blood into his system and made himself mortal, and found to be at peace.
In another movie we all know, The Lord of the Rings. Mortality in humans is actually a gift. The elves live an endless life in Middle Earth only to find peace in the West Paradise of Valinor.
What I'm trying to say is that death may seem like a curse to us; bring life to a standstill. But if we make use of the time we have on earth meanginfully and purposefully, then we leave this life without regrets.
