  you know what pisses A LOT of people off?
  
  the need for stressing on denominations...
  
  so, there's Lutheran who are pissed off with the Catholics (after all these years) and the morons in Ireland using their denominations for a standup fight...
  
  so what if there's a statue in the Anglican Church? does it make the worship of God any less good?
  
  so is it the "graven image" thing?

  is the cross also a "graven image"? or was by removing the figure of Christ crucified from the cross balm to the egos? or did they not forget that the church teaches "The Crucified Christ"?
  
  what next? the inquisition like Tomas de Torquemada?
  
  or do you want to become the very pieces of crap we condemn today? those Muslim Fundamentalists Terrorist bastards who abuse their religion for their own political ends? remember what the Taliban did to the centuries-old statues of the Buddha...

  reminds me of what i studied for literature.....
  Ireland.. was awash with violence related to different dominations of Christianity.. the Protestants and the Catholics...

  Let statues be statues, as long as they remain mere statues and not images we have to worship to, or through, if they are just treated as such do not see any harm done, but I am open to correction.
  
  Then again, if the mere presence of statues is considered bad, then it logically follows that all the graphic or artistic renderings of Jesus and assorted biblical characters are bad, hence forth we should burn children's illustrated bibles and Jesus movie tapes?
