The Beast out of the Earth
11Then I saw another beast, coming out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, but he spoke like a dragon. 12He exercised all the authority of the first beast on his behalf, and made the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose fatal wound had been healed. 13And he performed great and miraculous signs, even causing fire to come down from heaven to earth in full view of men. 14Because of the signs he was given power to do on behalf of the first beast, he deceived the inhabitants of the earth. He ordered them to set up an image in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived. 15He was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that it could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed. 16He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, 17so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name.
18This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man's number. His number is 666.

I don't have much prove in this but i'll share anyway. Don't fire me on facts cause I don't have much and cannot find them anymore....
I visited a website about a year ago written by the Professors in Tel Avi University (hope I spell correctly) concerning the authencity of the old testament. It disappeared when I tried to log in the next month. The content of the webpage was certainly disturbing to me as a christian.
OK here goes....They had archeological prove that Moses doesn't exist in the time as the bible has recorded. He existed much later in the time of Judges. It was due to the findings of the dead sea scolls that sparked off this research. They had evidence that it was during Ezra's time that the five books of Moses was written. It was a mean for Ezra to get the people of Israel to unite in a hero believe that Moses was a mighty prophet who received the law from God. The writter seem to have paraphased the ten laws from Eygpt's book of death ten laws. His purpose of the book of law was to unite the people of Israel to return to the promised land with a believe system to govern them.
In the record from the historical archive of Eygpt, the Shepherd Kings, Hyscos... I think....was banished from Eygpt about the time of Moses into the land of Canaan. Joseph's story was thought to be fabricated as the Eygptians will never have an outsider as a ruled in the position of a Prime minister. All were ruled by their own people. It is however recorded that for 400 years Eygpt was ruled by the Hyscos tribe until they were overthrown by the Eygptians anout the same time of Moses. The present chief priest of Israel have countlessly admitted that his ancestry was from the Hyscos. In fact, the recent archeological findings on the city of David was alarming. Indeed they found its existence but research confirms that Israel in the time of David were made up of different factions normatic tribes rather than the grand kingdom that David claim to own. I remembered reading that they were about to release this piece of news in the near future and Israel will have a new religion which the priests are now preparing of it content. It was also a well known fact that the genesis story was written by the babylonians much earlier.
If this were all to be true,(because I can't find the website anymore) I believe as Israel release the news of their findings, the world's religion will collasp. The major religions who have formed their foundations on the old testaments as the basis of their religious evolution are the muslims, Christians and Judasim. Not too sure about the others. These 3 religion alone covers almost the majority of the world's believe. It'll definitely spin the world into a cycle of moral chaos. At this point in time, the anti-christ will then appear to calm the midst of the world's chaos with his religious agenda. He'll introduce a system which the world must depend on followed with signs and wonders to confirm this believe. His system will include markings for identification purpose. Of course he'll be challenge by the two witnesses which may represent either 2 individuals or by 2 groups of people who will not stand up to his idealogy.
This is all I can tell you on my guess guess theory. -

666 refers to the emperor Nero, who persecuted the Christians at that time. Any comment?

yes....6 is the number of man.666 is the mark of the beast just as there is the mark of God.
Both marks are impressed upon the foreheads. Satan is not original, watever God does, he tries to give another counterfeit version.
Those who belongs to God has a mark of God written across their foreheads...not a physical and visible sign but rather...the mark of God is the worship of God Himself and allegiance to Him.
Likewise, as what some ppl say that the cash cards and micro chips, barcodes and so on are the mark of the beast 666, well....personally i dun think so. These 'marks' are too common and many people are talking abt it...and cannot be the mark of beast. No doubt, the anti-christ may make use of such technologies to control people.
God in the Old Testament says that He will writes His name on the foreheads of those who belong to Him. what makes satan so high tech to make that mark into a micro chip? -

mark of the beast is not dragon because dragon is satan himself. 666 is a sign/name of the beast.
It is similar in meaning in that God when He said He will mark those who are loyal to Him to separate them from the others. It is placing ir insignia on ur possessions so tt people know that something belongs to you. -

thru this 5 days with Him. I learnt many things. God has spoken to me regarding many areas in my life i previously refused to let Him rule over. He told me....
