Left or Right?

Just a simple poll that arose from a chitchat session with a bunch of kakis yesterday, both school fiercely defended their positions, which do you belong to?

How many of the guys here walks on the right side of their girlfriend or spouse, thus holding the girl with their left. Bunch of 'em reasoned that they drive and so they are used to being on the right side, or it leaves their stronger (right) arm to handle other matters. And the ladies may help to answer if they usually (or are preferred by their partners to) accompany them from the left.

i understand it could all be a matter of preference and habit but let's see if it forms a clear pattern eventually. Thanks! Wink

PS: if unclear about directions, use a first person perspective; ie orientate the question from yourself.

depends on the situation
if along a busy road etc (pavement) i WOULD walk on her side facing the road... dangerous mah

alot of situations... and im ambidextrous Smile

hmmm... never noticed which side when walking with girlfriend... but i think she's usually on my left side from what i recall... i'm a left-hander... but no preference lah.. both sides also can, as long it's be-side Smile

and also, i'll keep her on the safer side the road, i.e. i'll be near to the road itself..

my ex use to walk on my left or right depending on the traffic

but he is usually on my right.. coz he is a left handed n me right.

Usually the guy walks on my right. That's the trend I've observed... although never thought about why. And not all my ex's drive. Exception during walking along a busy road, crowd, etc, then he will walk on the busier side.

I usually walk the left side.
My bf is left-handed and somehow I'm right handed,
Thus that's Y there are times I'm on the left...

but most of the time, the situation becum

I'm behind, he's front Crying or Very sad
