aiya, i don't need to explain what is the study bible already, mine is more or less the same as yours, lay up is the same, but mine notes are slightly different due to KJV text and some are added or deleted
For why use KJV, it is complicated to answer
A simple case is that we believe in VPP, more info click on the link below
http://www.febc.edu.sg/Verbal%20Plenary%20Preservation.htm
and since KJV is the only version that uses formal equilvance method which is what VPP dictates, we uses KJV

KJV is the best translation currently available based on the doctrine of VPP and VPI
We believe that NIV is a corrupted text
This is my personal stand on why i uses KJV bible
(Note: But these are my personal opinion, this topic is quite touchy and had been a court case before, hence, i will not force any to use KJV if they are not willing)
My stand of the Verbal Plenary Preservation (VPP) and Inspiration (VPI) of the 66 canonical books of the bible is as follows:
You don't need to buy anything from the Christian bookshop.(It should be Christian bookstore)You can get a tract for free from the Christian bookshop.
But like all English Bibles today (including KJV, NIV etc), they are all still translated from translations right? The only way to understand the original text completely is to know Hebrew and Greek :)
And not forgetting that Bibles till about the 16th century had 73 books, not 66.

the apocryphal books are generally left out of modern translations, as they are non canonical (by Christians faith - don't ever get into a discussion on this point, if you still want to argue, by protestant faith), so is 66
Plus, that statement means that you had superficial knowledge in the translations of bible,
There are critical text, majority text, textus receptus and varied versions of bible manuscripts, i shall not say which is translated from which, if you wanna know, please seach up the net, it is quite interesting
Not necessarily need to buy books and bibles. You can also buy Christian movies which are biblical.

No need to argue when history can speak for itself on this.
If you look up any Bible in the first 1500 years of Christianity, they all have 73 books as the church has always held the 7 deuterocanonical (apocryphal) books to be canonical throughout the ages. For example, the Codex Sinaiticus, one of the oldest Bibles in existence today, contains most of these books although granted that its list of books show that the church at that time was still finalising the canon.
Then after the reformation in the 16th century, the 7 books have been gradually sidelined or taken out altogether in some Bibles for goodness knows what reason. So what was considered canonical for about 1500 years are now not anymore? Who are we to make that call?
You can try local online bookstore, OpenTrolley Bookstore
http://opentrolley.com.sg and then go to Religion section. It's kind of mixed up with other religious books but there are lots of US Christian books there.
I boycott Tecman ever since I found out that they are the distributor for Chick Publication in Singapore.
Chick Publication is evil. Can cause religious unrest among everyone. A true blue Christian will not distribute such literature, not condone such doing, unless he wants to use Christianity's name to create riots among all religions.
+1 TehJarVu, SKS is one of the best Christian bookstore.
But these days, i buy from amazon or US online bookstore.
