the most unique thing about Buddhism is that you will see that there's no such thing as a permanent soul or self...........

What I meant was both Jesus and the Gautama Buddha were conceived (as babies) without intercourse.

Humans create boats, cars and airplanes to help them improve their daily lives...why is religion no different? I mean believing in a good "vehicle" (according to buddhism) that takes us to higher consciousness is not a bad thing after all ! Why should we argue about man-made stuffs? Our lives have certainly improved in quality due to man made stuffs.
So, even if religion is a man-made thingy, its still not a bad thing izzit? Afterall many peoples' live conditions have improved tremendously due to taking up faith in their chosen religions.

Why don't you go to churches and tell those pastors of yours to talk appropriately. Your pastors talk bad about Buddhism and Taoism in churches are worse than anything else.
