Hmmmm.....how about the infinity of the universe ? And the existence of "intelligent liveforms" on other planets in faraway galaxies...?

I know you are trying to be sarcastic. Strange, the bible forbids sarcasm.
Anyway you might not know it :)
Reasons why 17% of singaporeans dont have religion are simple - we are happy with our lives and need no additional/lesser things.
see, you just agree with me, you are telling christians what the Bible say.
what so sarcastic in what I say? many people are comfortable and satisfied and happy and they are indifferent to religion, I said "there is nothing wrong with that", is there anything wrong?

Yes I do agree that sarcasm is bad, but this did not come from the bible. Whether christian or buddhist or atheist or hindu, many people dont like sarcasm.
Whether christian or buddhist or atheist or hindu, we all have morals. And these morals we have do not necessarily come from the bible.
I quote the bible because for your sake, because you are a christian and I am reminding you to practice what you believe in.
Yeap totally nothing wrong with people not having a religion. But just wondering why you were so sarcastic about it!
Well, if you believe in your God, you should know He knows whethe ryou were sarcastic or not! :) Not for me to judge I guess!

Infinity of the universE? Is the universe infinite in the first place?
No one knows. But how can say that just because scientists dont know, then automatically religion has the correct answers?
Doesnt work that way.
You mean if scientists are "not sure" of alien lifeform, then automatically the religious people's "beliefs" are correct?

I'm not saying that the religions are 100% correct on certain unknown and unproven aspect of life....but religions do offer alternative explanation to life existence....plus those intelligent lifeforms are not "little green men" type of "aliens" but rather they are human spirits/souls....living in various heavens/universes of their respective beliefs....

No, I wasn't sarcastic....hmmmm...but, yes, may be a little,.....no there was no intention....hurrr...but I need to respond when people say that we believe in God out of ignorant.....oh, I should not just be sarcastic, but shoot right in the face....but....
hey, make another guess, was I sarcastic? a bit or very?

THat is when I have to DISAGREE with your form of Buddhism when you talk about ghosts and spirits (which are unproven entities).
I do prefer Buddhism over other religions, but not your form of theistic Buddhism.
There is currently a serious lack of evidence to support spirits/ghosts sightings. These have been explained scientifically btw.
For other life forms, astronomers do study the planets nearest to us, its composition and geography to come up with conclusions to say if they are livable or not. For religions, what can they offer? How do religious people study other planets using their religion, may I know? :)

I would explain the existence of Mars/Venus/the moon with "Karma of the planets"....in buddhism, everything have Karma....the constitution/cause/consequences of our planet Earth is "just right" for life to evolve...
I wouldn't say that my form of buddhism is theistic....only....Hahaha! I'm just trying to believe everything buddha taught....

Its not contradictory if you practice it....its just like embracing both views about the glass....it can both be half empty and half full....

Its like believing in God and God is not a supernatural being (external) but is within you....both view points....
