Faith is dangerous in a sense that it can be used to commit atrocities. The Catholic Church caused the holy crusades, the spanish inquisition, the destruction of America, as well as countless other atrocities.

What about other religions like buddhism and taoism , do these also the same?

Then is it fair to the victims of the parents/siblings/friends/spouse just because of an fit of anger? Maybe only a Christian can answer this question. So you can look out ma, if got one Christian commit a murder to another Christian, you must quickly go & ask the victim's family will the murderer go heaven or hell k. Jia you!
and the christian answer is tats why salvation cannot be by good works...cos good works is hard to determine and subjective...to christianity, grace is fair...i can explain why grace is fair if u are interested(by pming u) but if u are not interested, then its ok...

Sorry eh, let me talk a bit about karma here. Karma is no man operator, it is law of nature. Let's say a man is generous in donating money to the poor and then commits murder. According to the law of nature, this man will be very rich but live a short life in his next life.
Let's say there is only heaven and hell, then he will go to hell and serve his sentence for his murder then release from hell and then go to heaven, fair right ?

actually all religions have loopholes.
go hell pay for the wrong then go heaven? is tat buddhism? which religion u toking abt? the focus of buddhism isnt abt going heaven...which is why i find strange why fairyfairy toks abt going heaven when buddhism focuses on nirvans which is non-existence...once a person escapes the wheel of suffering, he/she reaches nirvana which is not heaven...unless u are referring to a metaphorical heaven...
pinknutri,
wad u said is a little strange to me...wad if the situation is reversed? do bad all his life...then b4 he die, he donates all his wealth to charity and donate his organs to those who need them? does tat mean tat he will go heaven and enjoy paradise for a while then go hell after tat?
one more thing, law of nature that came into place by chance? is tat wad u are proposing?
Omg going out of point again. Now even other religion get sucked in.

U dowan to offend all the religious population in the world do u ? U r saying all religions have loopholes?
Interesting, what about a person who is born to a life of crime, thievery, murder, and rape who needs those in order to live, and who knows nothing outside of it ?
gd point TTFU...but theres 1 problem...does such a person exist? true lah...u nvr noe but most prob not...

wah. what a good way to avoid a question. dunno jus say dunno la.
actually christianity does have an answer...for such a person, he will go to hell cos there is this thing called the conscience which every human has...and besides even if he doesnt noe better, he would have inherited adam's original Sin the moment he was born, condemning him to hell...maybe this qn shld be given to those of other religions
The 7 deadly sins. At least i believe in them.
Pride
Greed
Glutonny
Sloth
Wrath
Envy
Lust
Every human has them, and i think buddism believes in that also.
true, i agree...but for ppl without a religion...their definitions for the 7 deadly sins will vary...for eg...is loving love a form of lust or is it true love? then it goes further...wad constitutes loving love? desiring higher pay, promotions, queueing for sale etc...are these considered greed? subjective...
which is why i often qn the teachings of salvation by good works...whose standard do we use? is there a universal standard? if there is, wad is it? do all of us agree wif the same standard? if all of us judge good by our own standards, wouldnt heaven be a chaotic place? then wads so good abt heaven if tats the case?

TAlk to christian on reap and sow, they don't believe in karma. Two are just the same actually.
Reap and sow are mentioned more than once in the bible.

why would it offend anyone at all?
religion is about faith is it not? faith is about believing in something that you cant see and cant prove is it not?

you are entitled to your opinions I would say. other faiths would also be entitled to their views as well. about the adam's original sin, nice story though.

I know how creationist think. there must be a god to operate in the world we lived, but then you are entitled to your views. Just like we dun believe in god, the way you think god created the law of nature and physics.
I am prepared to go to hell, and i know i have to face it like a man. But can you?
